Hi, I’m Daniel Aucoin, a macro photographer and educator from Canada.

For more than 20 years, photography has been my excuse to slow down and pay attention to the things most people walk right past.

These days, you’ll usually find me in the forest looking for tiny subjects, building small scenes and experimenting with light to transform them into something completely different.

For me, macro photography isn’t really about the gear or even the final image. It’s about the process—slowing down, experimenting and getting lost in something small. It’s how I clear my mind, reconnect and stay present.
